How are course schedules structured (and do you support multiple time zones)?

Weekly rhythm, cohort starts, and how we handle time zones.

Most cohorts follow a predictable weekly rhythm: one live session + one guided practice block + optional office hours. If you’re in a different time zone, you can still complete the course: the core requirements are time-flexible and the live session has alternative options (replay + short catch-up assignment) when attendance isn’t possible.

Do I receive a certification after completing a course?

What “certification” means here and what you can verify.

Yes—successful completion grants a digital completion certificate with your name, course title, completion date, and a verification ID. It’s designed for portfolio and learning records. If you need a custom statement (for an employer, school, or organization), include that in your question when you contact us.

What equipment do I need (and do you provide photos)?

Practical list for beginners and field safety essentials.

We provide a text-only equipment checklist (no photos). Minimum recommended kit: a beginner-friendly detector, pinpointer, digging tool (trowel or small shovel), finds pouch, gloves, knee protection, and a small notebook. For safety: water, sunscreen, and a basic first-aid kit. If you tell us your terrain (beach/forest/parks), we’ll tailor the list.

What is your refund policy?

Refund windows, rescheduling, and what happens after a course starts.

If you cancel more than 7 days before the cohort starts, you can request a full refund. Within 7 days, we typically offer either a partial refund or a no-fee reschedule to a later cohort (depending on how far along we are with prep and materials). After the first live session, refunds are generally not available, but we’ll help you transfer to a later start if something unexpected happens.

Do you support accessibility accommodations?

Captions, transcripts, learning pace, and privacy.

Yes. We can support accommodations such as captions/transcripts when available, alternative assignment formats, and flexible deadlines for documented needs. You can share requests privately via the Ask a question form—only support staff will see it, and we’ll confirm options before your cohort begins.

Are course materials downloadable? Can I share them?

What you can keep, what you can’t redistribute, and why.

Many worksheets and checklists are downloadable for personal use. However, the curriculum (including maps, templates, and instructor notes) is licensed for individual learners—please don’t repost or share publicly. If you’re training a team, ask us about group licensing options.

Do I need prior experience or special fitness level?

Who the courses are designed for and safety considerations.

No prior experience is required for beginner tracks. You’ll learn fundamentals, planning, permissions, and responsible recovery techniques. Field work can involve walking and bending; you can adapt intensity to your comfort level. If you have a limitation, ask—there are often safe alternatives and pacing options.

Do you provide invoices/receipts and can I pay in installments?

Payments, documentation, and flexible options.

Yes—after purchase you receive a receipt, and we can issue an invoice on request. Installments may be available for selected cohorts. Use the Ask a question form and specify your preferred plan and start date so we can confirm availability.
Invoice Secure payments

Do you cover permissions, legality, and ethics of treasure hunting?

Responsible searching, local rules, and best practices.

Yes. We teach a permissions-first framework: where you can search, how to request access, how to minimize ground impact, and how to handle sensitive or historically significant finds. Local laws vary—our guidance focuses on building safe decision-making habits and directing you to authoritative local sources.

Response expectations and what to include for a quicker answer.

During support hours, typical response time is under a few hours. For the quickest answer, include: your course name (if any), your time zone, and whether your question is about schedule, equipment, or refunds. If your message includes accessibility needs, we handle it with priority and privacy.
